For me it’s family, spending time outdoors, trying new restaurants and WINE! ALL things wine: talking about wine, drinking wine, visiting wineries, attending wine festivals and now I get to do that with more “friends”. This time last year I launched a blog and by May I was hosting my first wine tour. From launching my website, to planning tours, it has been an AMAZING! ride. That feeling of walking into a winery with a posse is priceless. After that first tour, most people were ready to register for the next one, as long as it was a bigger bus. SO, in October, instead of renting another party bus this time I got a coach bus, doubled in size and recruited voluntees (volunteer employees). Even though our tour group got bigger, we still had our muffins and mimosas, snacks, and raffles with prizes.
Along the way we have made lots of mistakes but have learned from each and every one. Our goal is to create the experience we would want to have. With that being said, this past November some of us had the opportunity to attend our first wine tour. It was absolutely amazing, and the mountains of Georgia are beautiful in the fall. After a day of being the customer and an opportunity to talk to the owner, our next tour will be our best yet. So, what’s next? We continue to grow: we are in the process of planning our third tour and I’m happy to announce our first event. After all, we need to provide our clientele opportunities to drink all that wine they purchased (and I understand bottles made excellent Christmas gifts). On Friday, February 10 (just in time for Valentine’s Day), starting at 6:00 p.m. at Xia’s in Monroeville please join us for the start of our Wine and Design Series. Our theme for the night will be The Power of Scent and Touch. Tickets are $30, materials and a souvenir glass will be provided, and of course it’s BYOW. Food can be purchased on site.
