Looking back, I could say that 2024 owes me everything—but then I wouldn’t have learned the lessons. It wasn’t a great year overall. There were definitely some good moments, but they felt overshadowed. If I’m being transparent, most of the challenges stemmed from my own bad decisions.

Here’s the hard truth I’ve had to accept:

• I need to establish and enforce better boundaries.
• I need to stop apologizing for things that weren’t my fault (yes, I can feel sad, but I have to let go of the guilt).
• Most importantly, I need to get better at saying “no”.

SweetBrownGirl started as a blog—a place to share my love of wine and the camaraderie it inspires. Over time, I got swept up in planning and promoting wine tours. And while those tours were amazing, I lost sight of my why.

Wine brings me joy—not just drinking it, but the shared experiences around it. SweetBrownGirl was born to share that joy, and in 2025, I’m coming back to my roots.
